My name is David Weaver. I was born and raised in San Jose, California. I attended San Jose State University and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing.
In 2009, I decided together with my wife to move to Germany. I completed my Master’s Degree in International Business Management at the University of Applied Sciences in Osnabrück, Germany. For my master’s thesis, I conducted a significant amount of research in the field of behavioral economics as I assessed the feasibility of the Pay What You Want pricing mechanism. This is definitely a very exciting field of research.
In 2011, I began working at INFORM GmbH in Aachen. In my role as online marketing manager, I have developed a passion for all things blogging and social media. For this reason, I have decided to turn my work into my hobby – hence the creation of The Social Web Weaver.
I have spent the last three years developing a best practice online marketing strategy for INFORM’s Inventory and Supply Chain division, and I am constantly looking for ways to improve. I spent the early years of my career in retail, where I served as an associate manager and category buyer.
I would like to use this blog not only to share what I have learned, but also gain from insightful discussions initiated by readers.
